Objectives
The architectural objectives for the skylights at American University’s Washington College of Law building were to bring daylight into the basement level, by positioning 5 angular skylights in courtyard locations.
Approach
Bellwether’s point supported skylight design allows the glass to float above the painted aluminum framing structure.
Results
The custom skylights have become focal points in the layout of the exterior common areas. At night, they bring an extra atmospheric element by glowing from below.
